Someone recently recommended the Renovo treatment system for caring for hoods but I have yet to take the ~£60 plunge on the various bits. I'd been keen to hear opinions on either that kit or the other options if anyone has used them too. I think Autogylm do a treatment don't they?
I use the Autoglym two pack cleaner and proofer on my Griffith hood and it works a treat, even to the point where rainwater beads and runs off I tried loads including Autoglym and none were any good, the only one that did work was the Renovo one. It probably depends on hood material (mine was double duck). The only problem is that it is water soluble until dry and if it gets wet you will get it running all over your car, you can probably guess how I know!

Anyone got any advice for maintaining a cloth hood? Mine is starting to leak through the weave, so it's going to need treatment. I suspect there's a product out there that everyone trusts, but what is it?
Fabsil tent proofer is very good and not too expensive if you buy the 5l tins which you then apply with a brush. Gassing Station | Kit Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
