When I watched the Ascari A10 on Top Gear last night I was thinking the new Noble (should it ever arrive wink) sounds pretty similar in terms of BHP and weight (did anybody else recognise the side view as being similar to the M12).

I thought just before the timed lap that it's possible the M600 would post a similar time to the Ascari - anybody have any thoughts as to the liklihood of posting such a fast time? Maybe I'm being optimistic....

Why not? If power to weight is similar and the target weight of 1000Kgs is achieved and Lee gets his act together on set-up it would surely be a little quicker through the corners. scratchchin

This car is another with a devlopment life like akin to the Farboud and the "new" (I've given up on naming it now!) Noble (ie: coming - soon) having been in development for some years. I inspected one in detail once and noted design similarities all over to the Noble M12. The roadwheels are very similar (in fact they look like they come from the same supplier). I have photos somewhere.

I wasn't surprised to see it take the top place on the TG board last night as it has always be hailed as exceptional (possibly due to it being Dutch and hence having ingested all that weed!). I was also reminded of the similarities to the Noble in performance. If the "new" Noble comes out at less than a third cheaper than the Ascari and performs the same (as I feel it will - even powered on teabags alone) it will be just superb!

Yes, the price difference makes the M600 even more tempting. Bargain basement really in comparison.

100k Noble?...350k Ascari?...bit of a no brainer if the performance is the same. But how many of this type of car will/can be sold each year? I'm even more positive that Lee can sell his self-imposed limit of 50pa now anyway.
I liked the wing end plates...much sexier.

The Farbio GTS seems to be pretty well received, and I like the look of it. More competition for the Noble. £350K, £100K or £60K??

Nah, the GTS isn't even as quick as my current M12.....

The Fabio looked "OK" when I saw it at the NEC Motorshow (the one where we all saw the M14 (lick) for the first time), even though it was unfinished and looked "rushed" to get it there...but I think the Fabio/Farbound is "Low Rent" in comparison. I wish them well, but it looks like one third the car for two thirds the price. I'd say it was more a posh Exige and a Noble wanabee than a rival for the M600.

Just read the Evo magazine article on the Farbio GTS. Says they have 450 "firm" orders.

£59,925 for the standard version - 262bhp - 0-60mph 4.8secs/160mph
£71,675 for the supercharged version - 384bhp - ?/?

Car has side impact bars and blue rev-counter needle that changes to purple and then red - hmmm, sounds familiar!
