Have been on a few US websites getting info on the speed triple thats coming in March and was asking about the PC3 and lack of fitment on the 07 speed triple. then got some info on something called a TUNEBOY

http://www.tuneboy.com.au/Compare/Compare.html

http://www.tuneboy.com.au/index.htm

this is new to me but looks very good, and what made me post it on here was juts reading in Fast bikes and one of the guys has a triple and did say he was going to talk about the TuneBoy. uncanny

anyone know anything about them, have used them etc....

There was a guy used it for a Triumph Triple engine he had in a kitcar. Loads of messages in the bike-engined-cars Yahoo Group. You'll probably need to log in to read the messages:

I have an 05 Speed Triple, and I have used the Tuneboy and found it to be very satisfactory.

As long as you have access to a PC near your bike, it has all the advantages (and more) of a PCIII without having to physically install anything.

You can download the full software (TuneEdit for re-mapping, Tuneboy for diagnostics) free to get an idea of the capability.

If you decide to purchase, you will get a usb cable to connect to the bike. You will then need to plug the bike in, retrieve the unique ECU ID and send off to Tuneboy. They will then send you a software key via email within 24 hours.

You can then tune away to your hearts content - or upload any of the factory tunes from the tuneboy website.

Well worth it if you are not near a Triumph dealer, and you are about to install an aftermarket exhaust/air filter etc.

Good Luck...!!

thanks for the replys.

once I get my Speed triple run in wanted to fit a free flow air filter, exhaust and PC£ and get it dyno'ed. then found out no PC3 for the 07-08 yet. then read about the Tuneboy.

going to take my bike to get it set up next year to here:
http://www.jhsracing.co.uk/

so they would be playing around with the map etc...

Works a treat on my old TT 600. Turned it from a Lemon to a Peach, and it was informative and fun to boot.

On the accompanying paperwork that was issued with my TuneBoy, there is a disclaimer something along the lines that it is not for road use and it may invalidate the manufactures warranty.
I've never heard of anyone having a problem though, and if for some reason it had to go back to Triumph for related warranty work , it is very simple to re-install the original map and its settings.
