I have just decided to drive to Switzerland to hoon around the local twisties. I booked Eurotunnel nice hotel etc when I've told people i'm going in the Noble they think i'm mad ??? I must admit I haven't driven it for more than 4 hours in one go before but I can't see it being too bad. Has anyone else gone long distances in one?

London-Dover-Calis-Interlarken-Stelvino-St Mortiz-Insbruck and back to London.
In 5 days, no problem, lots of fun.
Pm if you want some details of our trip, found some great cheap hotels and some fantastic roads.
We are going again in Sept.
Have fun.

happily sat in mine for 10-12 hours a day, I find it only becomes a pain when i got stuck in traffic, but fine when on the move

Yep. Did Monte Carlo and back in a long weekend last year. Air conditioning broke towards the end of the journey, but that was it. Twice I nearly got caught speeding - first time I happened to be in the slow lane reading a map, second time I circumvented their cameras by stopping for fuel. Ape-man policeman did not look amused when I passed him nice and slowly on the slip road biggrin.

london -> calais -> london

Wasn't really long distance but its the furthest ive been in one go. watch out for those bloody cobblestones in calais! shoot (cobblestones). Stupid things snapped my exhaust support bracket.

Was a very simple fix by the garage the next day. Apart from that, had no problems with the car. Although i was SO tempted to buy a couple of crates of beer, there was just no boot to put them in!! who designs these cars eh? biggrin

Would love to drive down to Davos and back sometime

LOL - all you need to do is look at it and it will break! Next time go to Belgium and get some chocolate, and then you'll be able to fix it yourself.

Very interested in this thread.

We spent 3 very comfortable and fun days in the Noble last year Day 1: Rochester-Anglesey Day 2: Keeping warm & dry watching some stonking racing @ Anglesey, Day 3: Anglesey-Rochester - unfortunately picked up a ticket on the way back doing (only) 80 in a 70....

This year we're thinking of taking it to Monaco and back in May via twistys, but my concern is a 28l tank vs lack of petrol stations. Does anyone have any experience of doing this without cramming jerry cans in every available gap?

Thanks

I'd suggest getting your 28L tank replaced with (at least) the factory 60L tank, that may help a bit?
Understandable concern though, my first incredibly careful tankful lasted 200 miles, the second more enthusiastic one will be lucky to last into 3 figures! redface

I went along the motorways all the way to Monaco so not sure. I know a group of 5 or 6 Fezza drivers took the long route down off the beaten track and they didn't mention any fuelling issues, although I'm not sure what size tanks they had.

P.S. They loved the Noble at the GP - got stuck a couple of times while going round parts of the circuit that were open to traffic (not the tunnel unfortunately) with people standing in front of me taking photos.

360's etc have massive tanks around the 100L mark. When belting across Germany with 2 360's I stopped 3 times and them twice with my standard 3R engine I had then. Still had to wait 15 minutes at the end of the run for them to catch up though, as the Noble parts the traffic much better than the donkeys smile.
