Morning all, well the search continued last night, I went to look at this :

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/TVR+...

It's the Black one at Cheshire TVR. Trade sale only, as they've changed their policy and will now only deal in post 2000 chims. Does anyone know the car or have any info ? Originally bought from Bauer Millet in Manchester, then last owner was a lasy who lived down Lincolnshire way. Seems a pretty honest car, with a few minor faults which could be put right with a bit of fettling.

Two of the biggest faults :

Needs a new hood set ideally, as it's seen better days - Where should I go in the North West to get a good one at a good price ? Trying to keep the budget down, so will be fitting myself etc. Just want a good quality one without paying a fortune.

Needs a full carpet set due to bleaching from the sun. Same as above really, I'll be fitting myself so where do I buy from to get quality without getting ripped off.

Both items are to be Black. I have used the search function and come up with some names etc. but wanted reccomendations with up to date prices from people who've actually used these suppliers.

Thanks guys, and fingers crossed as if the budget works on these bits - you may have a new Chimaera owner to say hi to soon !! smile

If the roof is the same as the Griff this will help.

Easy enough (if a bit scary when you have to pull the old covering off!) to do yourself if you're patient.

Just doing mine at the moment. He's sold lots to Griff owners and is very helpful.

Is it the same ? (think they are, but I'll wait for someone with full knowledge of both to confirm that for me) It's a 1997 facelift car.

That's the one I'd seen - looks like a good quality hood, and I like the idea of the triple layer with the membrane it in. Think it'll be more waterproof than a standard one.

The quality is very good and you don't just get the roof, but all the glue and tape etc. that you need to complete the job.
