Dropped in to BMW oxford and was lent a k1200s for 24 hrs, what a engine, its turbine smooth and obviously seriously quick.
Certainly easier to ride than my Duke ST4S, I love the electronic suspension , set it to comfort over the crappy cotswold roads

That's what I like about BMW dealers, they have a realistic view of test rides.

Hope you enjoy the 1200s - it's a pretty impressive machine.

How would you rate it for everyday use?

Could you use it okay in wet conditions etc.

I really like those and the K1200R

Have to say everyday use, its very ease to ride. The engine has torque to die for, 6th gear at 30 mph to lots without a stutter

The fairing gives good weather protection !! The heated handles and ABS are great, brakes are vary strong too

I use mine just about every day and it's fine. Cold and/or wet weather don't upset it/me as the heated grips/ABS/torque from tick over all help to make life easy. The only thing that I am struggling with is the speed at which the rear Bridgestone has disappeard. (Just over 2000 miles! yikes) I'll see how I get on with the Pilot Road 2s that will get fitted early next week.
