Sky Player and my version of XP

Hi... I am having problems with sky player.. I can download the player and the movies etc but when I try and play them i get an error message stating the DRM licences haven't been downloaded.

The help pages say I need version 5.1.2710.2732 of windows xp but mine is only 5.1.2600.5512

I update windows when prompted and I am currently on SP3. Is my system just too old to run this programme or is there a way round it?

Sky helpline just say remove the programme and reinstall it .. which i have tried with no luck.
