Yep failed my first test.

Got 2 minors BUT
heading up to a junction right after my u turn and emergency stop, no problems, go to turn, throttle, and nothing, it had gone into neutral rather than first so what happens? bike slow I have to brake and foot goes down...Loss of control failure frown

Well thats all my riding done till september now as Im about to go away, so basically I'm gutted frown

Unlucky. Still, it'll make you give that gear lever a firm shove in future!wink

2 minors isn't much to worry about, and should make you confident for next time that you can do it. Good luck when you do. driving

That's a bu66er mate. Can sympathise- the wife took her first DAS yesterday & failed. A few minors but a bit like you, dropped a real clanger on the "open road" bit. She pulled off a roundabout & starting to build speed & only stamped DOWN on gear lever instead of up !! Numpty. It caused a back up of following traffic so examiner had no option but fail her on inappropriate speed/control.( and it was in last 5 mins back to test centre) Emergency stop & U turn perfect.Daft thing is she had 2 hr lesson yesterday + 1 lesson before test & had never done such a daft thing before.
Test gremlin I guess.

Had a similar problem, as a change in life meant I wasn't able to ride much at all for a month and a half before my DAS, thus failed it on one stupid point frown

That was back in mid April now and I've had to cancel two re-tests due to work commitments now, so I'm looking at a two month gap by the time I re-book, thus I'm wondering what is best to do, as I'll only have limited time to reacquaint myself with a bigger bike.

Do I just go for the full DAS again and see what happens, or do I go for limited which I'm confident of given that I can do it on my 125.

Then assuming I get a 33hp (limited or restricted) bike, would it be possible to sit my full test on that at some point once I've gained some more experience on a bigger bike?

Sounds silmilar to how i failed my first test, except i didn't drop it.I still get mad thinking about how he failed me.I'd driven bikes for years, never stalled the 125 on the CBT,or the 500 on the DAS stuff.Pulled away to the right from a T junction and the bike just cut out!Didn't lurch forward or nowt like it would if you let the clutch out too quick, just cut out,so,what did i do since i was in the middle of a busy road?Pushed it back to the junctions about 4 feet and started my routine again. He failed me,he said i should have sat in the middle of the road and tried to start it?I still feel miffed about that.Should have told the tt about him leaving his indicators on all the time during the test but i bit my lip.

I passed my bike test first time! But I am not rubbing it in!

I failed my first driving test for something I thought the examiner had wrong.

Was taken to the busiest side road, attempted to reverse around the corner, car drove up to exit the road. I stopped, pulled back to where I started, and performed move again. Again another car came down, so I did the same again.

On 3rd attempt, another car came down, but indicated and parked on left. I acknowledged driver and continued the manouvre, I just about got the hand break up and the guy that had parked indicated out of his space (behind me obviously!)and overtook me.

I failed for "bad obversation reversing round a corner". Basically if the guy had not moved I would have passed. Apparently even though my hand break had gone on just as he indicated away from kerb, I should have driven back to where I started from. I was fuming!

Got mine booked for the 26th now, as it'd been over two months since the last one I've taken the 25th off too, will print the test routes and survey the area while getting some major practice in the day before...
