I'm cack with computers, I'd just like to make that clear from the start!

Trying to set up a wireless connection, I can get the connection but it will only connect for a few seconds then it will disconnect. This process contiunes relentlessly!

It seems to indicate thats its trying to find a network address????? during the period that its connected, what can I do to aid this process? Is there something I missed?

Any help would be greatfully received before I have to pay some student ££££ to get it sorted.

Sounds to me like the password you've put in is wrong, it thinks it is connected then realises it isn't. Have you tried it sans password?

Does your router have a 'register' button on it that you have to press when joining computers to it the first time?

I had exactly this just yesterday with my new 'be' supplied Thomson router. Fixed it by connecting with the ethernet cable and changing the WPA-PSK Preshared Key from the preset one to one I made up, worked straight away after that.

Have you had a scout round the manufacturer's site to check their Support or FAQ section(s).
There'll also be documentation you can download or in the box - have a read, especially the configuration bit.
