Made mistake of stopping at showroom tonight.

Tonight I made the classic mistake of stopping at a Car Show room.
Now I absolutely love my Noble but i couldn't resist popping into a Corvette garage just around the corner from me on my way home. Inside was a absolutely lovely silver Z06. After seeing it properly, instead of at a car show, i really really want one Don't all shout me down, I'm still lusting over my Noble. But the Vette really looks like a useable supercar.
Has anyone on here driven one?? If so what was it like?? The whole left hand drive thing doesn't bother me in the slightest as i have driven many a left hooker.
Hmm, now to work out how to afford both, in my dreams.

A very trusting mate of mine let me drive his Z06 last year at Oulton for a few laps.
I was very impressed. I din't expect it to feel so at home but it coped beautifully with Oulton's up's and down's.
Excellent brakes and a fantastic engine with such crisp throttle response making the car so adjustable mid corner. Stonkingly quick in a straight line with a fantastic muscle car howl. My M400 was quicker up to a point but above 90 mph it felt noticeably quicker than my car. Steering was a tiny bit lacking in feel around the neutral position but fine with some lock.
On the downside it didn't cope as well with cornering load and crests of hills like deer leap and the crest of clay hill. Which seemed to unsettle the rear in a strange way. It could not generate the same ammount of grip as the nob either, but sure that could be corrected with some more track focused rubber.
In summary, a stonking machine. Might be hard on consumables if you track them much, but a great road car.
Hope that helps James!

Thanks for the feed back guys.
Done alot of reading/watching in the past and love the idea of owning one for a bit. Unfortunately it's a little out of my reach at the mo, but good news is the other half says i can think about it next year. WAHOO.
There are some absolute nutty ones over in the states, and they sound f***ing horny.
