As OEM, just for the E60, although they are 7jx16 with an ET20 so could go on other cars E30 M3 as an example.

EDIT; Also known as Trapezoid-Styling.

Does that mean they won't fit my E39?

The offset appears to be the same

No, if your E39 wheels are ET20 and about the same wider and diameter there should be no problem.

Are the tyres on the E60 wheels run flats?

Are these you E39 wheels?

No, they're Michelin Pilot Primacy 225 x 55 x 16 R95W. i really like these tyres, they're very quiet compared to many.

I bought the wheels just for the tyres with the intention of selling the wheels on - but, I like them.

If they'll fit OK, I'll put them on and sell my originals. Both the E39 and the E60 wheels I've got are stamped IS20. Is that German for ET20 ?

Yes, they should go on no problems IS20 is the same as ET20.

Thanks very much for your informed help.

These are my originals. Yes they are dirty, they've done 400 miles in the rain in the past 2 days.

Now, what are these called?

E39s have a larger centre bore than any other BMW. So you can fit E39 alloys to other BMWs with a spacer ring, but you can't fit any other BMW's alloys to an E39 unless you machine the centre of the wheels to fit.

I've measured the bore on both wheels and whilst this isn't the most accurate measuring instrument
I make the difference in bore diameter 2mm or less

So, 1. will they fit?
2. Why am I being given conflicting advice?

1. No, not without machining.
2. 'Cos not everyone knows about the E39s oddball centre bore issue, which is a shame as it really limits what OEM wheels you can easily fit.

Check out:
http://www.alloyguide.com/BMW.php
You'll see that only the E39/M5 have the 74.1 and correct offset needed.

Cheers,
Rob
