V8 reliable?

Hi Guys,
i may like to sell my SE and buy a V8.I've heard about some problems with the engine.
What's up with the V8.

I have found the engine to be fine, near zero problems in 26K miles. I had a heat shield crack and some AC compressor/manifold issues but the engine itself has been great. Granted, I've had other problems but I expect the V8 to be reliable over the long haul.
