Jailbreaking on firmware 2.2.1 on brand new iPhone

Okay, I've downloaded Quickpwn and read how it's done but I have a question.

My iPhone is new only had it a couple of months. It's on the new modem firmware, but I'm not interest in unlocking it outside O2 so I do not think it's applicable what Modem firmware I'm on right?!?

Can I still Jailbreak the thing with Quickpwn if my Phone was already on 2.2.1, or because my iPhone is new cannot be done?

You can still Jailbreak it so you can run 3rd party apps etc. The only thing you can't do is run it on another network.
