Not a bad idea. Bit of a shag to get to during the week though.

How much do you need, and does it need to be 'fresh' or 'dried'?

OK. I'll pick some now and more on Thursday.

If it helps to further ponce up lavender panna cotta you can say it's organic 'high altitude' lavender - the very best kind. (Apparently.) smile

You could do some crystallized lavender flowers to go with your desert, might be a nice palate cleanser for the end of your meal?

Ooh also whilst you have the fresh lavender available, try some in the bottom of your champagne glass lick

Surely lavender has no place in anything a human consumes?

I don't know about making the syrup, but just a sprig in your champagne glass looks rather classy and you can only subtly taste the lavender.

Cool! I did green tea last time, with home made cardomom ice cream, which tased great. The panna cotta looked cool becuase of all the tiny tea leaves which settle and form a thin layer on top...
