I have a Logitech wireless one at the moment, not bluetooth, I presume IR, but its rubbish. Range is useless and it needs some receiver thing that sits next to the TV which I want to lose.

Can anyone recommend a bluetooth one? I've been looking on Dabs but I can't seem to search by bluetooth, nor find any mouse/keyboard combo's. Unless i'm missing something?

Why do you want a bluetooth one?

Just get a Wireless one. All I have to do is plug in my USB a receiver and then my keyboard goes on my lap.

So it has bluetooth built in.

Does this other mans?

If not then he will have to have a bluetooth dongle, so cheaper to just get a USB wireless.

Sure i was assuming he had BT built in , and for my use ( a laptop sitting in my lap) a dongle sticking out is prone to getting bent or snapping off

The one I have is a USB wireless one? The receiver thing plugs in via USB. Its rubbish. Hence the question about bluetooth.

Its a Logitech S510 model if that helps? By the looks of things its a proper wireless one, so what am I doing wrong!!

Silly Question time but is the usb free from obstructions, i.e. not round the back of pc inside a unit.
I've got a wee 1m USB extension lead that sits on top of a unit which is in view of mouse/keyboard and it works a treat.
To be honest though I did have a Logitech one and found it patchy, I now have a trust DS3700R and seems to be spot on.

The newer ones should manage fine. Mine is in a TV cabinet and I can operate it from 10m away perfectly fine.
