Ok, so I can't be arsed with proper cooking (for myself), even eating food gets on my nerves sometimes as it gets in the way of doing other "stuff".

I just want to get in and make something as quick as possible. I buy a sandwich at dinner (lunch for you southerners) and I only eat takeaway at weekends.

My favourite "recipe" is this nuked for 2 mins:

mixed with this

with a small bag of salad.

Another favourite is crumpets with whatever.

So anyone else got any recipes they'd like to share? smile

And yes I can cook a bit if I can be arsed or when I'm eating with others - but most of the time I can't if I'm on my own - or if I'm lucky my gf will cook for me. wink

That is pretty disgusting, why not make up a good thick Minestrone in bulk and then freeze it into smaller daily portions, and cook yourself some Curries or whatever and do the same, much cheaper, healthier, and quicker in the long run.

There are some really good simple recipes about on the web and on here in particular, just ask.

I really like it - and you can mix and match all the different flavours of rice and tuna.

Anyway, your plan seems to involve some form of cooking even if it is in advance - but I'm interested in stuff I can throw together quickly without having to use my freezer. smile

Fresh Pasta and sauce?

Fresh pasta - Boil water - put pasta in for 3-4 minutes.
Sauce - Microwave for 2-3 minutes

Combine the two.

Eat.

Relatively healthy, and not much hassle.

Either that or just get a chicken kebab, minus the mayo dressing - chilli sauce is okay and the salad is obviously not bad!

Theres worse ways to survive! wink

If you find eating a bore, then cooking is a defo no no. I think you'd be better off eating a proper meal at lunchtime and having a sarnie for your tea. I don't know where you work, but there must be lots of options open to you for half decent food at reasonable costs. For example, your local supermarket often has a cheap canteen?

Yeah - I do the fresh pasta and sauce thing.

I should point out that I am the healthiest/fittest I've ever been in my life. I go to the gym regularly, I just can't be bothered with cooking for myself - I will make the effort if I'm eating with someone else. smile

Baked Potatoe - leave for 2 hours in the oven - grate cheese or baked beans ontop

Chicken leg sat ontop of carrots, onion & other easy veg, in an oven tray cover in a bit of olive oil, stick in the oven for 30ish minutes serve with couscous.

Omellete put some real butter in with the eggs when you whisk them. with veg and ham.

Stuff on toast (get decent bread), beans, tinned fish, cheese, sliced meats, spam, add sliced tomatoes, lettuce for some veg.

Stuff in a pitta bread (healthy kebab), salad, bacon, cooked meats, fish etc

Lazy is a tin of tuna, doused in salad cream and eaten out of the tin, or a tin of baked beans, again eated out of the tin, cold, with a few slices of bread.

Never mind lazy, that is just purely disgusting. To the point where I'd rather be homeless than eating a tin of tuna doused in salad cream, or a cold tin of beans and a few slices of Mighty White. hurl

Kershaws Ready Meals, 4 for £5 in Morrisons. The steak pie and chips is especially good.

(Well that's what I read somewhere anyway)

Anyway, tell your g/f to cook more!

on a more serious note, go buy every spice jar in the shop and have your veg drawer in the fridge kept topped up. most things can be whipped up from scratch in 10-15mins. i had egg noodles and stir fried veg in brioth last night topped with a ribeye steak. longest part of the process was waiting 10mins for the steak to rest in the oven.
