Do they have a video built in? Or do they just take pictures when the radar indicates a speeding car?

Think it was involving a Gatso. Had nothing in mind, just my housemate mentioned they had a video camera in and I was wondering if anyone knew the answer.

He has probably heard of Gastos getting CCTV covering them due to the massive public love for such automated fine generators & how pretty they look with a burning tyre around them.

Gatso uses a traditional 'wet film' camera which takes two snaps when a vehicle is detected at a speed in excess of the [user defined] trigger threshold.

I've heard on various places that Gatsos have been going digital over the last few years?

Are you thinking of HADECS which is effectively a like for like [digital] replacement for Gatso (M25 variable, for instance)?

I thought I'd read/heard the cameras within Gatsos were being upgraded, I may well be wrong. I definitely don't see blokes in vans stood taking stuffs out of the back of gatsos nearly as often as i used too.
