Any suggestions please from people who know the answer for sure and who have actually done this please.

We are going to the Le Mans 24 Hours and want to do a spit-roast, cooking a large leg of pork. We are not going in a van and will have very limited space so cant take half an oil drum or similar. We wont have an electric motor/rotisserie.

What equippment will we need - something small and light
What fuel do we use
How do we cook it correctly to achieve a good cracking
etc etc

Thanks in advance

All I will say is it is not as simple as people would have you believe. Any heat source is good as long as it will burn long enough. If it was me I'd cook it over a fire pit full of charcoal for 3 or more hours.

Use shoulder over leg as it's far more forgiving if you overcook it.
