Has anyone got any ideas for nice-tasting, easy-to-make gluten free desserts (preferably non-chocolate)? I was contemplating something like a cheesecake but then I tasted gluten-free biscuits and they are hurl

I was looking for inspiration online and a lot of the recipes appear to call for really odd ingredients or they look really unappetising. Anyone got any good recipes they'd be willing to share...?

The cheesecake idea is a good one.

The shortbread rounds you get at Asda are fine for a base, if not some Byron Bay cookies are even better.

Warm peanut butter Brownies with ice cream? You don't need to use much flour, and you can get Doves GF plain flour from most supermarkets.

There are loads you can do - I can put you in touch with a real expert in this field if you need some help.

Merangue (God knows if that's how you spell it!).

We are wheat (not gluten) and diary free and get totally fed up with fruit for pud. But merangue can be served with a mass of things.

Fool (Rasberry's my favouritelick)

Meringue/pavlova/Eton mess

Mousse

I've tried using rice flour to make pastry for a tart and it wasn't too bad.

Great, thanks everyone. I think I might go down the meringue-variant route...although it will have to be shop-bought as my meringues are always disgusting smile
