Increasing mp3 volumes in bulk
Discussion
Not sure if it would work it'll depend on why it's not loud. It could just have a weedy amp, or it could be limited by EU regulation thingy (that also means EU iPods are quieter than US ones). All that "boosting" the mp3s will do it mean max volumn comes in lower down on your player but the actual max volume reamins the same.
Invest in one of these (I have one, not bad and does the job).

AIUI all that they do is mean full volume comes at half volume on the volume level. i.e. lets say the "volume" is doubled, then full volume happens at halfway on the mp3 player volume. Halfway to full on the mp3 player doesn't make it any louder. Ultimately, you're not getting louder music.
But this goes up to 11
Some may compress the range further to get wall-of-sound effect but this just ruins the music.
Want it louder, you need an amp, as per my post. Or an mp3 player with a stronger amp but many can't these days, as per the EU iPods.
