And I've just bought a Yam TZR 125 for £112.95 as a track project. Last ridden (crashed) in 2003! Did I do well? smile

How on earth did you do this? I can understand buying it off a bloke in the pub or a mate, for lets say 100 notes....or 1000 notes of whaterver...but 112.96? Did that include postage?!

And assuming it does not have the power valve fitted don't forget to turn the valve blank around 180 for more top end (oh and no bottom end). Have fun!!

How much more top end? What sort of power outputs can be expected with a bit of fettling? Is the power valve something to junk?

I have a full license BTW, so don't have to worry about restrictions. I've just registered with 125cc Sportsbike Forum, just need to drag it out of his shed now and get it to my place. smile

I believe they knocked out about 24hp with the powervalve turned. You dont want to get rid of the powervalve, merely rotate it. FYI later DTR125's had the cables and ECU fitted too. It would deffo fit, but whether you would get the 'full fat' TZR or a strangled one I dont know. Perhaps chipping the ECU would do it?

And yes, you will be furiously slipping the clutch in first gear with the powervalve turned. Utterly gutless until about 6000 rpm.

Still, for just over a ton cant be bad!

Is it a fairing one or the non-faired model. If its faired, even better!
