Hi,

Is it possible to replace the zip that joins the jacket to the pants on a set of leathers ?
Does any one know a place that can do this, near Romford if possible.

I've tried a few local places that do alterations but none of them could do it.
I did buy a zip and was going to try myself but realised i dont have a clue what im doing.

Look on londonbikers.com - there's a lady who posts as WASP that does all kinds of stitching and leather repairs and has a good reputation on there. She's based in Grays.

I'm bloody sure they have a shop in that neck of the woods. I've never been to Saffron Rice.

Living in the sticks as I do, there are plenty of horsey type places around.

Saddlers I think they are called - I have taken boots, jackets, trousers into them to have zips replaced, and always got them back quickly, and typically with stronger zips than the originals that came with the items.

A place called www.cougarleathers.co.uk was featured in ride back in march and their work there looks tidy - says about £25 for a new zip.

That said they could have chosen a better name for it.. who wants to google 'cougar leathers'. Definately will not end well

SPoke to this guy last night and he is going to do the zips on my alpine stars leathers to match the zips on my HG textiles so i can mix and match the two

Well, ok I tried!

And was disappointed tbh, the first result was the company you want, and the whole first page was related results. Reviews of their work etc. I even tried images but nothing interesting there either......
