Why can't some people on PH spell definitely?

phurhaps in the skheme of thinggs it meens dhiddley skhqhat and those wif a lhife kudent giv a rodents rectum how it spelled?
Surely there are better things to be doing at 3am. playing hide the sawsedge with the missus, five knuckle shuffle, even reading war and peace, but thinking how a word is not written correctly....

Aha - this thread re-emerges yet again.
American spellings get me - licence/license, defence/defense etc.
Ignorance of use of the word "have" as in "could have", "should have", "would have" etc and using the word "of" ("would of", "should of"..... )instead. That to me just demonstrates downright ignorance of proper use of English or a stunning inability to recognise the correct form.
I don't care about typos. We all make them. But when someone obviously doesn't KNOW what the correct word to use is, that does concern me a bit.
