How do I make an MP3 file "resume-able" - like a podcast?
Discussion
I've recorded some radio plays as MP3s - and I've also got "The Hobbit" as a (very big) MP3 that has been copied from one of those cassette things. They work fine and it's nice to listen to when I'm driving (as I'm sad and I don't like that music nonsense....)
However, as they are standard MP3s, when I switch tracks and I go back to them, they will restart at the beginning as opposed to where I last listened to them from. Podcasts do this quite happily though.
I must mention that this is with an iPod (ye old original Video version) and iTunes.
I've tried the simple thing of changing the file type to Podcast or Audiobook, but that makes no difference - is there something I can do to change the file, or put a "marker" on it or something?
Thanks
JTW.
