Anybody ever tried to replace a hard disk on an HP d230? It's fking impossible!! There is no space, and the drive cage has metal tabs that prevent any wiggling. As a result, the only way of doing it seems to be by pulling the heatsink and processor out. And I have no thermal paste.

FFS, I bought a 20 quid mini tower case 20 years ago that was better designed rolleyes This is why I always build up my machines myself.

Better stop for the evening or the fking thing will be out the window...

I *think* it's doable by removing the RAM.

Does removing the plastic front panel help at all?

I can get it over the RAM ok - unfortunately behind the plastic front panel the front of the chassis is solid metal frown
