Some people (like moi) are old enough to remember the name of Dr Desmond Morris (bear with me). He was a well-known TV personality doing animal shows etc but his Ph.d was in Anthropology (study of apes/mankind development etc ? ) and I always remember him talking about being stopped by the fuzz & how to de-fuse the situation as part of his "people watching" study.
He said it's always best to adopt apologetic style & act "servile" & in fact where possible don't draw yourself up to full height in confrontational manner. He said even he crouched a bit when stopped by the BiB which was difficult as he was about 6ft 4 I think ! He reckoned that way he had avoided trouble & just got a polite tap on the wrist.

Gonna sound really Ghey here, but his book "Man Watching" was excellent, also another one called "Games People Play - The Psychology of Human Relationships" by Eric BerneHe said it's always best to adopt apologetic style & act "servile" & in fact where possible don't draw yourself up to full height in confrontational manner.
