OBD, blutooth and HTC desire

I've just bought a OBD blutooth thing for use with my car and phone off eBay but I cannot get it to connect.

Is anyone else using one, or anything bluetooth with the deisre for that matter.

I can't find anything when I search for devices.

Home Screen -> Menu button -> Settings -> Wireless and Networks -> Bluetooth settings

Aye, tried that, done the search and found nothing. Maybe it's the thing from eBay. Probably just a plastic box with lights on it.

Sounds like you need to set the OBD thing to discoverable?

Can you post up which software you are using and where you got it from if you get it working? Would be really interested in getting one of these if they are not too pricey.

I brought a bluetooth OBD reader off ebay and it works fine with my HTC desire using the Torque app.

See above. Got it working in the end, just had to leave it a while and stop being an impatient bell end.
Just using the free version of torque at the minute and the reader thing was about 20 pound posted. I drive a VX220 so this gives me a few extra features over the standard car if I want, mpg etc.
