What team do you think we are looking at next season?

If we are lucky i will go for;

Bogdan
Riley/Steinson
Ream
Wheater/Replacement (bye bye knight!)
Ricketts
Chungy
Holden
Reo Coker
Eagles
Sordell
Davies

i think these are the players we can keep and will hopefully see us back up.

Chungy i reckon will stay with us until at least the january transfer window and then after that i reckon if he is playing well someone will come in for him!

Petrov & Klasnic are definitely gone, but who else?

Binned it against West Brom didn't we. What was all that about!

After that I never had any confidence that things would go for us on the final day. Klasnic, Petrov and co will have to go. I fear we may lose Mark Davies as well. Not sure what will happen with the others but i'd be surprised if Chung or Holden go over the summer, it'd be too much of a punt for a Prem club to take them on after such bad injuries.

Not sure what to expect next year, the Championship is very tough but Coyle has pedigree in it so we might get on ok.

I think we might have to cut the likes of Jussi and Ricardo free after years of long service but Coyle seems to think they are both spent.

Just been looking at the possibility of getting a season ticket for next season, thinking the prices would be quite reasonable now we are looking at Championship football.

I quote: "Bolton Wanderers season tickets for the 2012/13 season are now on sale and for a fourth successive year, prices have been frozen."

Are they fooking kidding? They market this as a positive selling point, how can they justify charging the same as they have the last 4 years in the Premiership...

Well, you never know we might get the old Bury v Bolton thing going again. Mind you that would mean another relegation for you as we ain't coming up biggrin

I agree but aren't those mini defibrilators pretty much bullet proof?

I think the fact that he made it at all is a miracle so anything else is a bonus.

Even if he does comeback it will be a couple of years at least, and in that time maintaining a fitness consistant with the level he was at won't be easy (if possible at all)

I was really looking forward to this season, but like you said after the pre-season run in it's not looking good is it.

If I'm being realistic I think we'll be top half just missing out on the play offs. I can't see us getting promoted straight back up, we have nowhere near the resources or cash that West Ham and co did and they just squeaked it this year.

Too many players out and not enough quality coming in. If M Davies goes which i'd suggest is likely we've pretty much lost all the talent in what is left of our side. Let's hope that Lee and Holden get back to fitness but if we are still in the mire at Christmas and they are fit I expect clubs will be lining up to buy them.

Muamba should call it a day, we'll pay him off but it isn't worth the risk for him or the club to keep him playing under contract. I'm pleased that he appears to have recovered but going back and playing after a scare like that would be madness. Besides he is one of few players with half a brain and a decent education so i'm sure he'll do alright for himself if he has to fend for himself outside of football.

3-0 defeat to Portsmouth today who only have 2 senior players left. WTF?!

Not had the displeasure of watching the lowlights yet. Not expecting much when we play Burnley in a few weeks time.

Well the rumour of Mavies going to Swansea is gathering momentum and also i have a feeling that Ngog is being touted as the next to go. Saint ettiene have said they aren't interested now but i think he is a player we can do without if it means more chances for Sordell and/or Afobe.

if we can get £6 - 8 million from the ngog and mavies deals then hopefully we will have a bit of money to play with, but i think we still need to look at defence and up front.

not a bad result against tranmere but it was tranmere. saying that it may be the level we are laying next season if something doesn't happen quickly

Well Fab has retired, best solution all round. Feel sorry for him as it is a blow for someone so young with so much potential.

Well a wins a win. 2-0 against a poor derby team.

Plus points;

Knight had a good game
Eagles and Chungy played well

Bad points

Mears, Mills and Mavies weren't in the game at all, long ball is still be used to quickly and everytime the ball was punted it was met with groans form the crowd.

Another plus point was i was at the match with a fellow colleague who was a derby fan so taking the michael was nice at full time.

I was talking to my football guru dog walking mates this morning and one said we are favourites to go back up, I reckon we'll be lucky not to be in league one next year unless something drastic happens pretty soon. Maybe they should stop trying to play football and go back to the Allardyce days.

Didn't see any of the game, one of the perks of living overseas these days I guess. Just how bad was it? Hopefully Spearing might help us out a bit but from what i've heard Ream is a shocking centre half.

Oh well it was good while it lasted, bye Owen.

Lots of silly tactics this year, Mears starting, Chungy and Petrov on the bench and Mavies getting played as a winger. Roll on the next regime.

Didn't know about McGinlay, could be an outside chance. If we are in for Ole Gunnar i'd take him, seems to have an excellent reputation as a coach and has done pretty well as a manager so far.

Can't say i'm disappointed that Curbishley turned us down.

Ngog is quality, comes on, scores a good goal that is disallowed, gets a penalty that gets them in the game, scores a goal and then decides his job is done and gets himself sent off.

Bit of a thread revival ahead of the blackburn game tomorrow night, what are people's predictions?

Can we go 4 wins in a row?

Can we sneak the play offs?

Also i have heard we are in for frei and sinclair.

Do you call Blackburn "Dingles"? Cos that's what they call us (Burnley)

Good luck against the B*****ds, soften them up for this weekend
