Hi guys we need some help with the following :

A new install of Windows XP has left our PC with no drivers for the Ethernet.
We are struggling to find where you can download the driver without have to use a wizard to check your other drivers.

The motherboard is an asus Abn Sli premium but even on the asus downloads we cannot get the files to unzip.

Can anyone recommend a site where you can download the drivers ?

Thanks in advance for your help on this problem.

Best way to do it:

Right Click "My Computer" (either in Start Menu or on Desktop, depending on your layout) then click "Manage"

Click "Device Manager"

Right click on your Driver-less network card entry. Click Properties, then click the Details Tab.

You should see a line like:
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_E0001458

The number after VEN (10EC in my case) is the Vendor ID. The number after DEV (8186 in my case) is the Device ID. We're only really interested in the Device ID.

Go here:
http://www.pcidatabase.com/

Enter your Device ID number into the box, and it'll tell you what the make & model is - if your lucky they may even give you a D/L link. Alternatively, go direct to the manufacturers site and get the drive from them.

Hi Matty

The vendor code is ven_11AB. And the device I'd is 4320

We have gone to website but there are two possibilities on there .
Shall we test either file for the code.?

Thanks.

Seems your card is:

Marvell Yukon PCI E Gigabit

So you'll need to go here:
http://www.marvell.com/support.html

Select your OS from the right hand drop down, and it'll give you the drivers. "Windows Setup..." (the top one) is probably the best, as it'll just run an installer and do it all for you.

HTH!
