Gadget insurance

I'm thinking about getting some gadget insurance as the new travel insurance policy doesn't cover too much in the way of personal items (£300 per item up to £1000). Given that if I'm going away and plan on snapping, I could have well over £4k worth of 'stuff' in just my backpack!
Does anybody here have good cover for such stuff? Bearing in mind the most expensive item would be a laptop at around £1500 new.
