Acer Aspire One netbook problem

Hi My wife has the above netbook used for surfing and general internet stuff.
This morning she gets up and turns it on to find a blank screen and only the power and charged lights working. No drive type flashing light or anything . It looks to me as if the drive (SSD) ids not functioning . Is there a reset or a common fix for this or is it time to go shopping?

Early versions of the Aspire One (ZG5) had a known BIOS bug, which caused the symptoms which you describe. If it is a ZG5 (says "MODEL NO. ZG5" on the bottom) you could try the built-in BIOS recovery routine. It worked with my old Aspire One.

I have this from time to time on mine. Try pressing F10 as it starts up, it seems to unblock mine.

Thanks for the replies guys , it is a ZG5.
still having problems so Ill talk you through what I did in case I cocked up!
1st formatted a 1gb
usb stick as FAT.
Next downloaded the first download here:

It only took seconds

renamed ZG5_3114.fd as detailed to ZG5IA32.FD
deleted the windows batch file and releasenotes file ( is this what I have done wrong?)

The other file is called FLAst

so there are 2 files on the usb:
ZG5IA32.FD
FLAst

followed the instructions on the site (Fn esc + power) when power flashes press it once . the usb flashes for 30 secs or so then stops and I wait 10 min and its still as before blank screen just power and charge lights on.
