Help needed!!! Flash CS3
Discussion
Hi, I'm very new to Flash so go easy on me.
I've made a simple slideshow using this tutorial - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cylX1lThTN0 I pretty much followed it exactly! Could somebody please enlighten me as to how I can add more photos to the slideshow without having to start all over again. How do I add another photo or layer into the movie clip file (as seen anywhere between 18:00 and 22:00 mins in that video)?
Cheers

Just google jquery slideshow.
Edited to add, let me know if you fancy giving it a go, or get stuck on anything.

I'm a bit confused after watching 18:00-22:00, doesn't it show you how to do it in the video?
You just need to import more pictures into the fla and then add them to the timeline, setting up the fade tween and frame names.
The tutorial shows the images and tweens each on different layers, you don't have to do it that way, and if you were having more than a few pictures i'd opt to put them all on the same layer.

Yeah I have imported them into the fla file, but dont know how to get them into the same 'movie clip' timeline thing as the other ones. When i try and convert the new picture into a movie clip symbol it wont let me use the same name as for the previous photos. So how do i get it onto the same timeline as another layer? Sorry if thats all a bit difficult to understand - im not doing a very good job of explaining it.
If you've got your image into the library, just select the frame and layer in the timeline where you'd like to add it.
Drag the image from the library onto the stage, right click on it and select "convert to symbol".
Select Graphic, then click on the timeline where you want to set the final frame of the tween, 10 frames later or something, and press F6 (which adds a new keyframe).
Go back to the first frame, select the graphic and then change it however you'd like it to start the tween, so set alpha to 0% or something. Click the first frame again and set tween to motion.
Job done.
