Christmas London Visit
Discussion
What is the best things to do on a Visit? We don't live far, but never go into London. But figured it'd be nice to see the lights and do some shopping.
We'll be going in on a Friday, hopefully it'll be a little quieter. What are the best things to try and do/visit that will get us into the Christmas mood?
Best lights to visit?
We may take in the theatre in the evening after some food. Suggestions?

The London Eye is worth a trip if you have time - probably best to see if you can advance book though as there will be queues. You can do what I did and pay extra for a 'Fast Track' ticket to avoid waiting, but it's quite pricey at £26 each!
Other than that there are all the street lights to see in Oxford Street/Regent Street etc. Ice skating next door to Liverpool Street Station

Fortnum & Masons - buy some Cranberry sauce (my wife still insists on ordering hers from there, despite us moving away from London 5 years ago). Selfridges christmas windows usually worth a look, as are Hamleys.
I used to say avoid Harrods at all costs, but I haven't been since it changed hands, it may have improved. I suspect the Di/Do/Di shrine has gone now, which is a shame as that was always good for a laugh.
Depending on when you are going, see if there is one of the carol concerts on at the Royal Albert Hall. We went to a couple of those, always felt Christmassy to me.
