So I am going to be cooking something on Sunday to show off the fact that I can cook pretty well.

However I dont really have a signature dish and Im looking for ideas. No real exceptions, hot food is on the cards however im not too fond of seafood or fish and its only for two people.

So if you were in my shoes what is it you would cook?

Probably something vaguely 'Indian'. To consist of (all from scratch):

Char-grilled quail with cinnamon and pomegranate
Chicken jalfrezi
Dhal
Bombay potatoes
Pilau rice
Muttar paneer
Cucumber raita
Kachumbar

Chicken breast wrapped in pancetta with sage, served on a bed of leek and squash thats been roasted in white wine, with crushed roasted new potatos and roast vine tomatos on the side.

Is a very simple but very tasty meal cooked from scratch.

Madhur Jaffrey's original chicken in a fried onion sauce recipe. Easy as, absolutely delicious, esp. if made the day previously.

Now theres an idea! I might have to steal that as an idea, looks pretty simple when done but quite hard to cook I would say and will taste pretty good and be warm and filling and wintery.

I find Thai curries almost a summery dish.

It's easy to do, but time consuming if making everything from scratch. I'll write up the full recipe if you would like it.

Pan fried Pork medallions in a cream and redcurrant sauce with dauphinoise potatoes
with lemon meringue pie for dessert.

Simple and very tasty, if not too good for the waistline!!

French Onion Soup & Beef Bourguignon.

I also make an awesome ragu - which cannot really be described as Bolognaise but is somewhat of an approximation.

Roast pheasant.

I make an excellent basic lamb curry,

and a fine sdpag bol that would probably be unrecognizable to most Italians.
