Played with one of these in Mr J Lewis' establishment today. Quite funky what with the full spectrum of light, ideally needed a darkened room to have a proper play with it.

Anyone purchased one of these? Not particularly cheap mind!

I have something similar for the boudoir, err bedroom. Not the same, but similar in function and price, not remote control though but it is on a remote socket. It doesn't seem to be sold now by the place I bought it from ( http://www.glow.co.uk/).

Also have a space projector and laserpod for the living room when I'm in nocturnal gaming mode driving

The laserpod is brilliant, just bough one for the lounge. And at £40, not a bad price.

Mmm perhaps something for the missus from the big fella in the red suit.

How far do these things (e.g. the laserpod) project across the room ?

Mine's the original one, sits on a table or something. In an older place with a larger living room sometimes I'd put it on the floor and it'd cover most of the ceiling.

My mate has one of those...when he left his wife it was the one thing he made sure he took with him hehe

It does give off very intense colours...although tbh I don't think they ever had an effect on my mood (unless there was a 'lets get pissed again' colour? )

My favourite colour, as long as after a certain amount of drink it doesn't suddenly become green then all is well.

Well in a moment of madness I've just ordered a black version. Might be here tomorrow. Happy Days! smile

You could always smoke some good weed or pop a hallucinogen smile

I've got one of these - bought it in John Lewis a couple of months ago when I was kitting out my office. (Well hey! I like gadgets. hehe) I can't honestly say I use it much, but it's good fun to play with... I'd probably get more use out of it if I put it in a different room, though!

Wow - Expensive

I built a load of these using Remote control 3w Colour changing ultra bright LED's - think they are Luxeon or similar (GU10 240v) and custom wooden floor boxes with swivel mounts

Similar brightness to a 40w bulb and cost about half as much. Work well as an up light on white windows, bays etc. Fantastic as a down light on white render as well

Only issue I have is the remotes have to be pointed directly at the bulb

Mood has arrived! Surprisingly bright and really does change a room. Might save up for a 2nd to synch with!

Maybe not worth £90 but hopefully will be reduced in the near future. I reckon £50 is nearer the mark?

Good fun though.

Well then, last night I was asked to bring it round to show it to some friends and within an hour they had both ordered one from Amazon!

Contender for my favourite gadget of the year methinks! Love it.

I'm tempted to order one just to see what the fuss is all about. £90 quid for a 'mood light' - it wants to be fecking amazing! biggrin

I doubt they will go down in price, as my friend has had his for over 3 years, and it cost ~100 back then. I do believe Homebase also sell them, so maybe looking out for a 10% day might lower the price a bit
