Perfectly safe if you're using a Dutch Cap shirley?

You might get further if you google Dutch Pot rather than Dutch Oven biggrin

There are loads of US sites with info. There were some recipes in one of the recent Jamie Oliver books, it was the series where he went across the states - can't remember the name of it.

We use ours on the Ozpig, we've not used it much but we've cooked spicy chicken and some other "stew" type things. Need to get better at using it really, make sure you season it well before use

Pass it on the left hand side?.

If using it directly over a charcoal or wood fire, smear the exterior liberally with mud. Helps with heat distribution while cooking and with cleaning after.
