Is there a way to increase all the numerical amounts in a column by a set percentage? I guess what I want is a formula to perform this but haven't got a clue how you do it!! TIA wink

Type the value 1.percentage into a cell, so 1.49 for 49%, copy it, drag over the column you want to apply it to, right click > paste special, tick 'values' and 'multiply'.

Excellent-thanks. Next dumb question, the column in question is prices inc vat, what figure do I need to apply to show the increase to the new vat rate? & yes, I know I should have done all of this before Christmas headache

Multiply by 1.0212766 (which is 120/117.5)

OK, tried that but no joy, original price £3.58, do the above and it changes to £3.656170228 confused

Thinking about it would it be better to take the amounts back to ex vat then apply the new VAT rate? How I do that though is another matter! TIA

At this rate it would be quicker to do it manually! I'll PM you now. Cheers

You should be keeping your prices without VAT and applying the VAT in a separate column, as you're now discovering smile

Ha, don't I know! But this is for a data feed and they need to be inc vat. I **think** I have sorted it, I applied the above then formatted the cells to two decimel places, prices I have checked seem correct smile Thanks everyone.
