I'm going to sound really stupid, but what is it?

The callipers look like those found on the R1/R6, so at a guess it might be an R1, but am not sure.confused

never really got on with the gsxr , on the short 18 mile (and vv wet) ride home the first impressions are , less comfortable, similar amount of poke , much nicer turn in , and much much better brakes!!! hoping for a dry day now to shall how it really stacks up...

s'funny in a way , i actually originally went to buy a 1000k5 they had in the showroom but it had gone an hour before i got there. on the way in however i'd seen a really clean r1 and it looked stunning , far far better in the flesh than the k5 and i had that instead!
really sad and stupid , but i've owned in excess of 30 bikes, am 40 + , and i couldn't bloody sleep last night i was sooooo excited!!!! even sold my mille yesterday and i didn't care , i just wanted my r1 :-)

Very nice bike. I also have the 06 flavoured one. Although tempted every now and again to change it I only have to go into the garage to look at it and all thoughts of changing dissapear. Toured on mine last year. 3000 miles in 10 days wthout any comfort related problems.

I am 6'2" and like you feel I look silly on some of the smaller bikes but I have also just gone from a GSXR to this model but not had time or weather to try her out yet (I have the fast red one though rolleyes )
