The air con needs recharging on my car, whats the going rate? Anyone got any recommendations near the Gatwick area?

Normally £35-£45?
Not sure down your way though.

£29 if you're feeling brave and take it to Kwik Fit.

unless you take it to a BMW main dealer and they'll probably fleece you for £200 and quote some nonsense such as 'it requires a special BMW gas that only BMW can supply'

Refrigirant £200 app / 10kg

Small/Medium vehicle capacity 500gm - 700gm

Medium/Large vehicle capacity 700gm - 1300gm

Rough guide 10kg / 10 vehicles / £20 ea

Add profit / labour

Anything less than £50 is pretty good value

Ford main stealer wanted £100 ish to check/regas my 2008 Fiesta on 3 year

service last week ,i declined ,and now my AC does not work.But i forgot to

regularly use it over winter so i guess my seals have gone dry .

No more AC for me then

I read a lot of anecdotal evidence over the last few years suggesting Kwik Fit might actually be a good bet for this.

Your evidence is wrong. biggrin

They were clueless when the recharge didn't work on my car.

I did get a refund after the second attempt though.

I had a leak but they didn't notice, or had caused it in the first place.

NoHopefit are cheap for a reason. biggrin
