Selling bikes - restore to original?
Discussion
Morning all
I'm wanting to change my bike (2001 blue R1) for a newer one (the 56 plate shape R1, not the minging new shape one).
Mine is almost mint (there's obviously the odd scratch etc) but has got a single seat cowl thing and a Blue Flame Evo high level titanium pipe (which does look very nice). I am thinking that the bike is probably worth no more money with these parts on and I would be better off refitting the (unmarked) original blue titanium can, rear footpegs and rear seat pad, thus restoring the bike to 100% original.
This would leave me to eBay the other stuff.
Or should I simply px/sell it as is? I'm tempted by the "back to original" idea.

Back to original, you'll get as much for it as with any extras, it might even sell easier as many people prefer to buy original plus the original parts are likley to be as new if they've been in storage and you should then get around 50% of the purchase price back on quality aftermarket parts via ebay etc.
