1st MOT due date

Right car is coming upto being 3 years old.

Just want to check my thinking on when I need to get my cars 1st MOT (I am not near the paperwork for a week), Its a 58 plate so I am assuming that it is due its 1st MOT in September is that reasoning correct (need to see paperwork for date of registration for exact date)

Just want to check that it could not be before September, until I get my hands on the documents.

Cheers for the replies, When I am next home I can get the exact date. Also seen on the gov website about the 1 month inadvance without impact to the 12 month routine.
