BIB - Using warrant wallet.

Hi,
I've seen many police officers using their warrant wallets to carry credit cards and the like. Nothing against it (they end up flashing me their badge at work all the time) but is it standard practice?
my dad works for the force so I've nothing against the BiB at all, just asking
