79mph in a 70 limit

At 10pm in a quiet Easter Sunday on the A1 .

My fault nobody made me do it but it burns ....

The car is a UK car but with a km speedo it has always had one manufacturer ran out of mph ones !

Is that worth a go or do I just take the 3 points on chin and move on ?

Do you get them in the area where you were caught or can you opt to take them nearer to home ?

Yes it was Great Ponton heading south.

It was the last rhd Ghibli cup, but not the last Ghibli, I can't see why somebody would change the speedo to km.

The v5 shows first owner 8/98, address in Berkshire.

Looking at parts catalogues it wouldnt be a surprise, the odds are they picked up what ever part was nearest to hand !!

I have had the car 10 years now, I know the km - mph conversion but we all try to push it a little......

Lesson learnt - be more vigilant !!
