Is it worth fighting this parking charge notice ?

Hi all, just after a bit of advice for my sister, she's parked in lidl today and received a pcn for not parking in a bay.
Now I'm not keen on bad parking but I think this is taking the pee just a bit.
I'd be well miffed if I had got it.
If you zoom in it looks like if she had straightened her front wheels it would have been ok.
Any advice welcome.

No it's not a disabled bay, ticket just says not parked correctly in bay.
Euro car parks is company. Usually I'd tell her to ignore it but not sure on rules these days, never had one myself.

Latest update... there's nothing they can do in store so been on phone to head office, they say to email the picture and a photo of receipts to show how much she shops there and they will contact Euro car park.

Even if that's the first time she'd ever shopped there they should be looking after it, any sensible person can see its the parking monitor is a moron.

I dont keep mine but she has to keep hers for the accounts as she shopped there for her business for years

The PCN is a process if you circumvent it then you can lose out. The first thing to do is to avoid naming the driver. By contacting the store you may have already done that but I do not expect so. Contacting the store head office its more likely the name will be passed to the PC.

At the moment the best plan is to do nothing.

The next step is likely to be that the PC obtains the keeper details from the DVLA and sends a PCN to her address. Only then should she appeal. Revisit if this happens and some of us can assist.

The reason for waiting is that if the PC company wishes to claim against your sister as keeper the PCN must meet certain standards and I have yet to see one that did.

Initially the parking company (who own the first appeal process) refused it (as expected) but then it went to POPLA and the civil enforcement group didn't contest it - so POPLA found in my favour. Was it? Or is it parked somewhere it shouldn't be?

The car is parked in a normal bay, the pcn says "your vehicle was not parked within a marked bay" the guy who give her the pcn said she was over the line.

Edit- it's the last parking spot before the loading bay starts, far end of car park. See below it's the bay to the middle left.

Right, quick update, too late on doing nothing as she has emailed everything to the woman she spoke to at head office.
The lady said she can see that it's petty and wants to sort it out straight away as she doesn't want to lose her business and she can get it cancelled immediately without going through the appeals process.
Whether she can or not I don't know, So it's just a matter of hearing back from her.

Then wait and see what happens. Some PC contracts do not allow the other party to agree cancellation and some PC just ignore such requests. Post again if she get anything else.

Also I know it’s a long time but if she hears nothing from the PC and moves within the next 6 years she should inform the PC of the change of address. Some PC have got CCJ against people because they have moved and not received the court papers. This can be expensive to unwind.

Do tell your sister NOT to say who was driving. Always state the driver did this the drver did that and do not contact them. Te lads on pepipoo will put you straight ( no pun intended) how to eat this

She's already spoke to them but not sure what information she has given them.

Right, Good news, sister spoken to parking company yesterday and they say the appeal is successful and they are cancelling the ticket.
