Hi

Just home from a 7 day 2500 mile road trip around France.

I managed to trigger two separate fixed cameras on my travels. One was a 90kph zone and I was doing about 99kph and the other one was a 110kph zone and I was doing approx 120kph. With the new laws in place for the French authorities being able to prosecute UK drivers is it likely that I will receive a fine in the post for these two relatively minor offenses? And more importantly am I likely to receive penalty points on my UK license for offenses in France?

Thanks.

You sound pretty certain, so I'll buy that.

Sounds like a fair enough deal to me.

You don't mind paying to speed?
At those levels you can do the same here... speed awareness course, then three more goes in three years, then you get another chance at a course.
No, I don't mind paying a small fine for a minor offense.

I don't fully understand the rest of your post.

Hi
uk resident over here in france for a week
just been flashed by a speed camera (nr poitiers)
70kmh in a 50kmh in a hire car
What can I expect ?
I've heard nothing as yet. Nearly six weeks on. But my speed was only just over the limit. Yours is a little higher so expect a fixed €90 fine but nothing more than that.
