That camera is pretty damn obvious especially at 11am, as it is on the downhill side the OP will have gone through a single lane priority to slow drivers down as well with numerous 20mph limit signs.
As mentioned this was the scene of a horrific accident, one of the fatalities was a 4 year old girl so it is very emotive to the local people. 6 points does seem harsh but I understand why the camera it is there.
