More utter insanity from our backward judicial system. You’d get less for killing someone. Seriously. What the actual fk ! Police state. This PCoJ utter nonsense insanity has to end.

Thread title is wrong. He got jail time for perverting the course of justice ( quite a s serious offence) and no doubt for being a prize dhead.

Warranted in my opinion

Definitely warranted for the latter, if not the former. hehe

If anything I think he got off quite lightly. Eight months is towards the bottom end of the sentencing guidelines for perverting the course of justice.

And if his actions had caused a fatal death?

As opposed to a non-fatal one?

Never let the headline get in the way of the truth:

"made rude gestures as he drove past police safety cameras on the A19"
"threw the device in a river behind his home in Grassington, North Yorkshire, when he found out that officers had launched an investigation."
"He also claimed that he wasn’t driving the vehicle – which has distinctive private number plates – and was working 60 miles away at the time."
"On all three occasions, he was photographed gesturing at the camera with his middle finger. "
"Officers began an investigation and Hill initially lied about where the vehicle was and tried to destroy the jammer."

Sounds like a model (prison) citizen.

The potentially valid points regarding the jammer become irrelevant in view of the subsequent actions of the user.

Yes, already a thread going.
I couldn't see the link in this one anyway as a lot of sites freeze you out if you have AdBlocker running. fk 'em.

White Range Rover, private plates.

Throw the key away.

Now, what do we notice about these two images?

Yep, both the same day.

Then four days later...

"made rude gestures as he drove past police safety cameras on the A19" - Seems legit to me, hope he did it with both hands
"threw the device in a river behind his home in Grassington, North Yorkshire, when he found out that officers had launched an investigation." - Foolish mistake, I'd have thrown it in a river far away from home.
"He also claimed that he wasn’t driving the vehicle – which has distinctive private number plates – and was working 60 miles away at the time." - Seems legit
"On all three occasions, he was photographed gesturing at the camera with his middle finger. " - Seems legit
"Officers began an investigation and Hill initially lied about where the vehicle was and tried to destroy the jammer." - Foolish mistake, should have kept quiet and taken the three points

Some justice needs to be perverted!

A good rule of thumb. If a legal decision seems odd, do not immediately assume that you have understood it.
