Hi,

I was caught in a nightclub on Saturday the 6th October with 3 gel capsules containing approx. 100mg of cocaine each. The police were called and I was searched and interviewed in the disabled toilet.

One of the coppers had a body cam and I admitted during the interview that I believed the substance to be cocaine.

Initially they proposed they would seek to do a 'community disposal' (or something like that) followed by a police warning. However, they radioed through and were told that this was not available for class A drugs.

I was then told I would receive a conditional caution that I could either accept or go to court. I stated I would accept the caution so they took my phone number and address and sent me on my way, telling me they would telephone me to come to the station and sign the caution paperwork.

I haven't heard anything from them yet and I am wondering if anyone has any idea of the likely timescale for this kind of thing? Could it be weeks until they make contact?

I won't be doing this again, and I would very much like to take the rap and get closure ASAP.

Appreciate any advice.

Cheers

Using, not selling.

Coppers just decided to take me to the disabled loo for the search and a few questions as was more convenient than going to the station (their words).

Blimey 3 grams just for yourself? Impressive.
That would be an experience. But it was 300mg, 0.3 grams.

Sold that way, I guess they're more convenient.

Also, the alternative would be court, and I'm bang to rights.

That's a very small amount of have split up into 3 lots. It could be seen that you were potentially selling them due to the way they were split. I guess it depends how they see it as to how this will get dealt with.
I did worry about that. It genuinely was personal use.

But if intent to supply was a suspicion, surely a search of my property becomes a prority?

Update:

So I had a voluntary interview today and I have managed to avoid being cautioned. It was decided this would be dealt with by 'conditional community resolution'. The condition being I attend an interview with a drug awareness professional.

Lucky boy.

Thankyou to all who replied.
