Refund on used car?

Advice.

I bought a Used Approved Mercedes around 6-7 weeks ago. From the first couple of days I have problems. With a buckled wheel and badly worn tyre. They replaced 3 wheels due to cracks before I took delivery of the car.

I took the car back, they said it was fine, an independent garage confirmed my issue. A vibration in the car. And my local Mercedes dealer also confirmed, they found another buckled wheel! So I started to chase the Mercedes about this issue, which is on going.....

Last week the air suspension failed, the recovery company damaged the sills, I had to intervene and assisted, I logged a complaint with Mercedes UK.

So, I picked the car up today, then the suspension failed again, must be the compressor or a level sensor!

Where do I stand? I would love to send the car back for a refund, and go back to BMW.

Any advice?

Maybe I am being dramatic, but the car is only 2yrs old coming up in June, I have had it for 6-7weeks

I don’t complain, but this car has me on a roll, from the first several days it caused an issue. I understand things wear etc, but the garage seems sloppy, they didn’t take the car out to check once they “fixed” the issue, I drove the car home some 6 miles and it was back to the car on its arse!

It was a large sum of funds for us, bought outright as a new family needing a bigger/eco car. I am sure my 335dis laughing at me!

Even outside that you could reject as the suspension issue means the car isn't fit for purpose.

Expect the dealer to fight you every step of the way and Mercedes to side with the dealer.
I emailed the dealer I bought the car from which is 260 miles away, within a few weeks or less about a buckled wheel issue.

The current issue has only come up last week, they “fixed” the issue, then came back with a few hours!

I am guessing to speak with Citizen Advice, I want to be well informed before broaching the subject with Mercedes UK.

Mercedes UK won't give a toss. (I own a Mercedes).
Hmmmm,

All new ground for me. I found the following:
prefer.

“Repair or replacement: You can get your product repaired or replaced up to six months from your purchase. The retailer has one chance to make the repair. If you're still unhappy, you then have a right to a refund “

So if I speak with Mercedes UK again, as that’s who I have been dealing with, and explain my issue and concern, will I get laughed off the phone? Do I need to speak to a solicitor etc?

Just for the suspension - not the wheels.
The car is a 2017, 2 yrs old in a few weeks.

So they are fixing fixing the suspension issues.

3 cracked. I wasn’t aware of this until I went went to pick the car up, they said, the wheel refurb people couldn’t sort the wheels out as they have cracks, the other wheel was refurbed, badly IMO which also has a buckle in, also you can see where they have sanded then lacquered over, no machining marks from a proper diamond cutter.

My local Mercedes garage has agreed also it’s buckled, and they found another of the wheels was buckled.

Realistically, in your current time frame the dealer (not Mercedes uk) has one chance to put the car right. If it’s not correct you are entitled to a refund if you want to fight for 6 months.
You ultimately have one buckled wheel and a replacement part under warranty, inconvenient I know but not life ending. Get it fixed, enjoy the car and revel in not owning another 320d.
Its not life ending no, but to me its stressful, after paying outright for the car. There are now 2 buckled wheels, maybe one has been done in my ownership?they was brand new wheels, but the other was refurbed, badly and should of been replaced.

They failed to fix the problem with the air ride, which justs adds to my disappointment with the car, I even replaced a tyre that they said was "ok" was almost down to the cord at 3 points of the inner edge of the tyre, the tyre place said due to the buckle. With the new tyre and the buckled wheel, it was 102g of weight on there.

So in all, Its a massive letdown from my F31 335d
