Camera Vans - Travelling opposite direction Scotland??

So, for the first time in many years an NIP has arrived. Camera Van has clocked me speeding in a rural 60 zone in Scotland.

I recall seeing the van, with it's camera facing the same direction was I was travelling, so I was driving away from it so to speak.

No greetin', it's a hands up job, but it's news to me that Camera Vans could get you going opposite direction from they are facing. When did that happen?

I clearly need some education on the subject, cheers.
